“May your troubles be less and your blessings be more and nothing but happiness come through your door.” St. Patrick’s Day is just one of the most fun holidays to celebrate! I love the inclusiveness of everyone being Irish for a day: the green everything, the shamrocks, the parades, the music, and of course themed food and drinks (corned beef and green beer anyone?). It’s a holiday everyone young and old can get into and enjoy. You see so much spirit around town it’s like being back at your high school spirit week (How’s that for a throwback?!). Read more

Kalahari Resorts
I love New York, but sometimes you just need to get away… And what better time than winter to mix it up! Over the holiday weekend I took Liam to Kalahari Resort in Pennsylvania for an equal mix of relaxation (for mom), indulgence (for everyone), and all out (I’m talking boy level energy) fun! Read more
Root Nine Baking Co.
Li isn’t the only one around here with a sweet tooth and I finally discovered ooey-gooey goodness I can feel good about! Although I love getting in the kitchen with him, we are also on-the-go a lot and pre-made snacks we can enjoy together without all the prep work are a win in my book. Read more
Blackhawks vs Rangers
“Hello out there, We’re on the air, It’s hockey night tonight!” If you’re a hockey fan you are likely familiar with The Hockey Song by Stompin’ Tom Conners. Love is Liberty and Liberty is Love
Maybe you have read my recent blog on Liberty, our new special-needs Biewer Yorkie with cerebellar hypoplasia. Well, she has been in our home for 3 weeks. It has been an exhilarating, educational, heartwarming, and introspective time for the family. Bottom line: we love this dog immensely. We can’t see life without her. Living with a disabled dog is time consuming and stressful; similar to a human baby. You can’t turn your back. Every moment has trepidation associated with it. But, the sense of warmth and purpose and humanity make this activity worth the effort. Read more

Playroom Holiday Pop Up by Fatherly
Want to know how to keep a kid entertained and happy for hours? Take them to a cave FULL of the 100 Best Toys of 2018. We attended Fatherly’s holiday pop-up event, called The Playroom, and it did not disappoint. Liam was thrilled with the littleBits workshops, Lego play station, the jump pit from RXBar Kids, and oh so casually mentioned that he would love to find a Monzi Go-Kart under the tree this Christmas!
