Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the colors, the smells, pumpkins, pumpkin spiced lattes, Halloween, apple picking and busting out the sweaters and boots.
Every year we like to drive North of NYC to Warwick, a small town in Orange County. It is about an hour and fifteen minute drive from the city (Upper West Side) so it’s not a bad day trip at all. Warwick is a quaint area, with a cute downtown filled with shops and restaurants. It also has a good variety of wineries, pumpkin patches and apple orchards so it has become my go-to since Liam was a little bean in my belly.
This year we went to Masker Orchards. Mental note, this area is swamped with visitors and traffic so have your patience pants on.
Although the pumpkin selection was a tad disappointing, their apple picking is fab. Their orchard has over 200 acres with 14 varieties of apples. The orchard offers beautiful views of the Hudson Valley and fall foliage.
Li had such a great time picking the apples and we came home with 3 big bags full (omg)! Needless to say, we’ve been eating and baking with a lot of apples.
Things to know:
The price is $29.95 per bag (they provide the bags) and admissions and parking is free.

Have fun, Happy picking!
