Since living in NYC (over seven years), I have always lived in a building. Whenever I would pass beautiful Brownstones I would stop to admire and take a second to send my wishes out to the universe to one day live in one.
I’m a firm believer in putting out your wishes and desire to the world (that’s a whole other blog post) and guess what, in September, we moved into one! It is old, spacious (3 levels) and full of character and charm. So of course we wanted to decorate the front stoop on our first Halloween here. 69th Street (on the UWS) is famous for their Halloween decorations every year so we had some inspiration. We put lots of pumpkins, gourds, plants, spider webs and a bale of hay on our front stoop. So many people stopped to admire our work while we were decorating. Mattie and Tooties even got in on the festivities wearing Pumpkin costumes.
This was definitely a special day!
