Hey loves! Just had the most incredible weekend escaping the summer heat at American Dream, and I’m beyond excited to spill all the details! Joining me on this adventure was my son Liam, and let me tell you, the magic was real. Read on for the perfect indoor summer weekend!
DreamWorks Water Park Splash
We kicked off our adventure at DreamWorks Water Park, the largest indoor water park in North America! With over 30 rides and attractions, we were in aqua-heaven, splashing around without worrying about sunburns or heatwaves. Pro tip: Bring your own towels because the souvenir ones are a bit pricey at $25 each, though they do make for a cute keepsake!
Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park
Next up, we hit Nickelodeon Universe, the largest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere. With rides like The Shredder, SpongeBob’s Jellyfish Jam, and Aang’s Air Gliders, there was something for everyone. Liam couldn’t get enough of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shellraiser coaster!
Shop ‘Til You Drop at The Avenue
After the rides, we indulged in a shopping extravaganza at The Avenue at American Dream. From luxury brands like Gucci, Tiffany & Co., and Hermés to more accessible favorites like Aritzia, Zara, Lululemon, and Primark, it’s a fashionista’s paradise. We snagged the latest styles all in one place, enjoying the cool, air-conditioned comfort.
Ice Skating at The Rink
We took a break from shopping to hit The Rink, an NHL-sized ice skating rink. Skating indoors was a perfect way to cool down, and Liam had a blast practicing his moves. It’s a great activity for all ages, and you don’t need to worry about the heat outside.
Blacklight Mini Golf at Angry Birds Mini Golf
For a bit of quirky fun, we tried out Angry Birds Mini Golf. This 18-hole course is lit with blacklights, creating a fun and challenging environment for mini-golf lovers. It was a hit with Liam, and we loved the creative course design.
Culinary Delights at American Dream
We ended our day sampling some of the fantastic dining options available. Carpaccio, an Italian spot, offered the yummiest treats. Liam even tried calamari for the first time, and the staff was so sweet – they even sliced up the chicken Milanese for him.
Another must-visit is the Mozzarella Bar, where you can savor delicious cheese dishes in a cozy setting. For dessert, we always make a stop at Läderach for their exquisite vegan Swiss chocolate. It’s a chocolate lover’s paradise!
And of course, no visit to American Dream is complete without grabbing a refreshing bubble tea. It’s the perfect treat to cool down and enjoy while exploring the mall. Which can be found at any one of these places, Panda Bubble Tea , Pora Ramen (Coca Cola Eats, Real Fruit Bubble Tea or Hui Lau Shan.
Evening Hustle and Bustle
We dipped out around 6:30 pm, and let me tell you, the crowds were REAL. Note to self: Start early for a stress-free shopping spree.
