What’s the best thing about Halloween: COSTUMES. We can all agree that Halloween is the one day every year that you can acceptably dress up as anything. We were so prepared. The front of our home was decorated with pumpkins, spider webs, and skeletons. This year we decided to dress up like vampires. We used everything: white and black make-up, fake blood, lots of black clothing and capes.
And, we wanted pictures of our craziness. Liam’s look was Eddie Munster, which I guess makes me Morticia or Elvira. Nonetheless, we had great fun. Our pictures really tell the story especially the black and white ones. We stood up on the walls of our stoop (NYC brownstones have stairs to the front door called a “stoop”).
The decorations were the background. But the most remarkable part of our day of pictures was our audience. Yes, audience! We didn’t expect this. Folks in the neighborhood stopped, watched, and clapped. We got applause. Liam was the big star. The fake neck bites and blood are our favorite shots. Halloween is so enjoyable and our shoot just added to our excitement. I don’t know how we will top this next year; but, I think we can do it.
